@aditya, yes dude and worst part of it is, tht they might get away wid this, and maybe even benefit by reserving seats for obc, with elections in UP next year, which really sucks.

and reservation in the pvt sector . :-(

no way man..2 yrs from now(when pvt sector resv. will come into pic)i.e. 4 yrs for this govt..and the next elections the middle class has to stand up and prove that they matter.left and congress's agenda is to keep this country poor because poor is what they rule over..

@amit; yup i too wish that it happens, but does the indian middle class (open) have the power to vote out the govrnment at the center, i am not sure of tht, tht remains to be seen; but i do wish it happens.

also they(congress) might benefit from it in the state elections in UP next year.

who will benefit congress...no ways..this policy of appeasement of a particular communtiy has never reaped any electoral dividends..see VP singh.. any ways u cna never say what happens these days in elections..the case being the shock defeat of BJP in the LS elections 2 yrs back.. well to do OBC's stnad to benefit frm these reservations and there no. is also not much ..

@Amit: Was watching some statistics and it seems 45% in UP , almost 70% in Bihar, 30-40% in MP(Arjun Singh's state) are OBCs. As u see the nos are rather significant.5 states go for their elections in the near future. So, the cynic that I am, I think realistically the "open" middle class can't do a thing.

@aditya, intresting statistics!!!

another abuse by the government and they might get away wid it too.

statistics are all right.. but i am saying the benefits will go to only the creamy layer in OBC's..there no. is not that much..
economically backward r the one who will not benefit from these reservations..
