Questions by a fellow atheist

How do you justify your existence?
I am wondering how many of you out there wonder about your existence? What on earth are you doing here?

I always get amazed when I think about the complexity of the life forms....for instance...all complex life forms have almost perfect design for seeing things around - eyes? similarly for hearing?...for that matter any part of the body......and humans have outclassed other species with...complex network of neurons...which helps them to think ahead in future!!

And more amazing is the fact that all these evolution occured begining with random aggregation of molecules to start with and..life kicked itself into action....the aggregation that survived the hostile environment..what Darwin would say....'survival of fittest'....replicated further....and aggregated further...and continue to evolve.....over millions of years....to what we are today.....and so it continues....the battle of survival...which including humans inherently indulge in every day...as proved by the way humans would try to outclass/compete other peers, find a better mate, etc....

It appears all life forms are survival machines designed to take advantange of different environment/living conditions to do one thing best....survive!....ensure the propagation of their design....which is embedded in the genes!!

So what are we, biological survival machines - biological robots ??

WHAT I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT.
I have thought about it, and continue to think about it, futilely though, this is the biggest reason why humans thought of the concept of god in the past, currently people are too ignorant to question themselves. probably some day scientists will answer the question. hopefully in my lifetime.

have been haunted by this question too..it seems too wierd to believe how such a perfect and symmetric life form can be created , gradually as Darwin said ,without the hand of an artist(god) . whatever one says most of us can't leave one theory or the other and hence believe in both..
what an irony..

yes what an irony. yes it seems strange when we wonder aout the perfection of humans, animals and nature, and the meaning of all this in the context of the universe.
but just because we dont know about something, attributing it to god seems not right. this is exactly what primitive man did, when they didnot get enough rain they blamed god, when there was too much rain they thought it was because of gods will. but science has gradually prooved that these things have some scientific reason behinf them.

read somewhere that, physisst argue that the only point debatable on the existence of god is when the big bang took place.

yes true...
that perfection you are talking about could prove the presence/absence of god.
one reason to believe in god is the lack of reasons for so many things that happen the way they happen/ happened since the inception of universe/life/matter.
there are other theological, philosophical reasons too.

hmmm...interesting...i just wrote somethin kinda spiritual on my blog. have u heard of the concept of intelligent design?? i find that concept quite interesting. the idea behind this is that an intelligent being has started the process of creation and viz a viz evolution and science.

hey my posting..kinda means that when the you are unhappy (ie. happiness has left), the One is also unhappy. Hence if the man has to get happiness in his life, he has to seek the One(according to what Happiness told the man). But the One is more unhappier, and so seeks out the man instead..so that they both can have happiness back in their lives.

yeah i know dude...it was a lil out there!!! the inspiration stemmed out from the saying that goes "we only seek God, when we have troubles"
